The Jordan Legacy 312 is the newest lifestyle silhouette from Jordan Brand, designed by Don C. For its next colorway this summer, the sneaker which is inspired by Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3 and the Nike Air Alpha Force Low, gets the Hot Lava treatment.
The white and black colour correctly assist the beautification of the sneaker. The sneaker upper is built out of leather and textile detailing. The perforated vamp gives a good air flow to the feet for breathability. Jumpman Air logo hits on the heel rubber patch.
The black leather collars are adorned with Air Jordan branding. Just Don logo appears on the tongue and insole. Big Grey and Red Swoosh insignia decorate the lateral and medial side. In addition to the traditional lacing system, a black rubber strap on the midfoot with Nike branding on it works unison for a more secure fit. Lastly, an Air Unit sits underneath for a comfortable and smooth step.
The 312 is a tribute to Chicago that’s equally inspired by MJ and today’s multi-faceted youth. Its name references the 312 area code of the city, as well as the shoe’s juxtaposition of the Air Jordan 1 and 3. “I wanted the Jordan Legacy 312 to have the sole of the Jordan 3, because to me, that shoe is the foundation of the brand”, Don explains. “The 1s and the 2s were Nikes first. The 3s were Jordans. That’s when the brand became the brand. I’ve always felt that the foundation of the brand is the 3, but it was built on the 1 first”.
