Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Timeless Panda Dunk

Nike has often paid homage to some of their classic sneakers by applying signature colors and patterns to other models, creating a similar look with a new shape. The last time we saw this practice, they had swapped the Air Max 1 and Huarache’s original color schemes in 2020, and now, the ‘Timeless’ collection prepares a similar switch.

We saw the Dunk Low this week with patterns and colors inspired by the Zoom Vomero 5 runner, now the ZV5 has surfaced with pieces of the Dunk applied, and dressed in a Panda color scheme. The leather overlays swiped from the Dunk Low appear in black and cover the heel, eyestays and toe box of this latest Vomero, fastening to the synthetic and mesh uppers via the lace unit. In place of the Bill Bowerman motif on the insoles, the Zoom Vomero 5 ‘Timeless’ receives a brand stamp exclusive to this release, with Nike’s logo appearing on the right and a decidedly Dalí-esque pocketwatch stamped on the left.

The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 ‘Timeless’ follows the recently announced Dunk Low ‘Timeless’, which conversely incorporates elements from the Zoom Vomero 5 design atop the Dunk Low silhouette.

Nike Zoom Vomero+ 5 General Info:

The Nike Zoom Vomero is a cushioning shoe that – in a relatively short amount of time – conquered the hearts (and feet) of an amazing number of runners. Known for its soft and unique cushioning, it is now at the fifth edition and is as usual presented in both a mens and a womens specifically engineered version. The new Vomero 5 presents Zoom Air cushioning both in the heel and the forefoot, a redesigned midfoot section and updates to the fit.
