We can see traces of the 990 DNA through both the web panelling and large New Balance “N” which closely resembles the branding found on the 990v5. The upper uses a mixture of mesh and pigskin overlays in a beige, giving the shoe all the structure and balance it needs. Following the long trend of animal-inspired soles, such as Reebok’s Atv 19+, the sole on the NB9060 looks like the hoof of a mountain goat with its two back pods providing great heel stability.
